Like living in a beautiful dream for a few days
Staying on Hydra was like a dream and the Phaedra Hotel was such a beautiful place - a bit back from the port so very very quiet with beautiful little streets all around, possibility to walk up to the hills behind the town, very close to all the restaurants and shops. Hilda was so friendly, welcoming, helpful with lots of advice and support during our stay.

charm and comfort pretty much sums it up
Hilda and Lena completely looked after us. They were always available, yet never intrusive. We learned a lot about Hydra and life of the locals. Hilda had a man with handcart take our bags to the hotel and boat when we left. She made the onward calls to get us across to the peninsula and Napflio. Her breakfasts were a treat every morning. Our room had a lot of charm, real furniture, and the decor was so pleasant. Her ground floor accommodation was a real find for us with our walking challenges. I would highly recommend a stay at Hilda’s place. a bit of a walk from the port, but the reward was quiet sleeping at night

Hilda was a wonderful host who made us feel at home straight away. She helped us with all our travel to and from the island and was really helpful with local knowledge. The breakfast served on the terrace was plentiful, great quality and really enjoyable. Excellent location to explore Hydra.

We had a lovely relaxing holiday and I loved the boat rides to the beaches.
The location was perfect everything was in walking distance apart from the beaches which were accessible by boat. The breakfast was lovely and Hilda was very helpful and friendly, the rooms were cleaned every day and were exceptionally clean and comfortable. We would definitely consider going back. The only disappointment was that we thought we had our own terrace and we did not, the terrace was shared and we like to sit out and have a drink at night but we were unable to because we were afraid we would have disturbed other people.

Peaceful and relaxing, the Hotel Phaedra provided a wonderful stay.
The property was located in a perfect place. It was a short walk to the harbor and gave you the feel of sleeping as a local. You wind your way through cobbled streets to get to your accommodation. The rooms were quaint and comfortable too.

Very close distance from the city center, at the same time at a quiet street... the hostess is amazing, thank you very much for the hospitality.. great home-made breakfast i had no complaint.. obviously reaching the hotel with luggage in hand is tiresome, albeit a common feature in the island

The location was great! It was Just far enough away from the port so it was quiet at night. However it was close enough so that all restaurants and shops were only a 4-5 minute walk away. The host Hilda spoke perfect English and was lovely. She was helpful booking a horse back riding adventure for my daughter.
