ROUTES WITH "ALPHA LINES FLYING DOLPHINS"

From the port of Piraeus, the Alpha Lines flying dolphin departs daily for Hydra, which only takes passengers and no cars.

HOW TO COME TO METOCHI FROM ATHENS BY YOUR CAR

If you have your own car or have rented, then you can easily come from Athens in about 2 hours & 45 '.

Following the Attiki Odos and then the Athens - Corinth National Road, immediately after the Isthmus, go right at exit 10 (Corinth - Epidavros) and immediately after, turn left, under the bridge, on the road that leads to the location "Loutra Oreas Elenis" and continues to Epidaurus.

Drive for about 40 minutes and reach the junction for Epidaurus. Just before you will see signs to Poros or Spetses. At the intersection, turn right and immediately turn left, under the bridge.

Continue on this road, meeting on your right the supermarket "Vasilopoulos" . A little further down you will find signs at another intersection, in which you follow one of the following two routes, from both of which you can go to Metochi.

FIRST ROUTE (Go to Metochi via Poros and Galatas): Go left onto the sign showing "towards Poros" and following the coastal road you will reach Galatas, opposite from Poros, in about 30 minutes.

Cross Galatas and continue following the same coastal road. You pass through the areas Plaka - Lemon Forest - Aliki and after about half an hour you are in Metochi.

SECOND ROUTE (Go to Metochi via Kranidi and Ermioni): Continue on the road you were on, following the signs "to Spetses and Hydra". After about 40 minutes and just before reach Kranidi, at another intersection you will find a sign that says "to Ermioni" .

Following this road, you pass outside Ermioni and continuing along the coast you pass by "Hydra beach" and then the road leads to Metochi.

Whichever route you follow, the road is quite good and for the total route from Athens to Metochi, at an average speed, we need about 2 hours & 45 '.

Metochi is the nearest area of the Peloponnese located opposite Hydra. In Metochi there is space and if you want guarded parking to leave your car and cross across to Hydra, with daily departures of the boats "FREEDOM Ι", "FREEDOM ΙΙ" & FREEDOM III" that lasts approximately 15 minutes.

GET TO HERMIONI BY ROAD AND THEN BY BOAT TO HYDRA

From Ermioni you can cross to Hydra with one of the several itineraries run daily by the boats SPEED BOAT "CHRISTOS" & "ELENA STAR", in 30 minutes.
